The CURRENCY CREEK INN was built in 1852 and traded until 1880 at which time it was converted into a grand residence and renamed "Kingsbrook" Over the following 100 years the property changed hands many times.

The current owner purchased the neglected property and began a long-term restoration and development plan. Passionately restoring the Inn and returning it to it's former grandeur, now set amongst vineyards and mature trees it has a classic European ambiance.

The grounds comprising of extensive architectural gardens, walled courtyards, pool, fountains, terraces, almond walks, herb gardens, tennis & bocce court and a collection of outbuildings including a pavilion, barn, orangerie, coach house and wine bunkers.

"Kingsbrook" is situated 90 kms (1hour drive) south of Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula, bordering the McLaren Vale wine district. Currency Creek is on the rim of Lake Alexandrina and neighbours the river town of Goolwa where the Murray meets the sea. Freshwater and seaside villages together with Mediterranean climate, have made the region South Australia's premier holiday destination for over 100 years.
